Series: The geographies of emotions

Welcome to a space where professional development and personal exploration meet the wisdom of the body and the natural world. Through thoughtfully crafted workshop series, I offer opportunities to explore the therapeutic potential of outdoor environments and our internal landscapes, blending somatic practices with nature-based approaches to learning and growth.

Collaboration is at the heart of my work, and I’m happy to tailor workshops to meet the unique needs of your practice, team, or organisation. I invite you to contact me via email for a conversation on how I can best support you.

What to expect in a training or class with me

I approach each training and class with the following truths:

  1. Your body knows best, so let it guide you: I offer frameworks as boundaries and questions to spark your curiosity. Your body can move knowing where the limits are, with the excitement and energy that shifts are possible (in your personal or professional life).
  2. A scrutinised body won’t learn: I am fascinated by the endless possibilities our bodies communicate on what hasn’t been possible yet. All of your questions are welcome and celebrated.
  3. We need a community to witness our learning: In a world that pushes for insularity, even in the way we learn (think of at-home courses and webinars with hundreds of people), we do need each other to grow, exchange, and be supported. My training and classes are taught to groups of up to 10 people to ensure we still have enough intimacy and camaraderie typical of communities, where there’s space for you to take a step back and an opportunity to step in and up, too.

“Isn’t this the purpose of education, to learn the nature of your own gifts and how to use them for good in the world?”

~ Robin Wall Kimmerer

Outdoor therapy training

The outdoor therapy workshop series is for mental health practitioners, coaches and allied professionals who want to learn how to integrate outdoor settings into their therapeutic work effectively. As an experienced outdoor and wilderness therapist, I provide practical guidance on the methods, ethics, and logistics of working with clients in nature. These workshops offer hands-on learning opportunities to develop the skills and confidence needed to facilitate meaningful therapeutic work in outdoor environments, whether you’re just starting or expanding your practice.

Eco-somatic classes and training

My eco-somatic offerings explore the dynamic relationship between body, mind, and the natural world. These classes and workshops combine somatic practices with nature-based approaches, inviting participants to connect more deeply with themselves and their surroundings. Some sessions are designed specifically for therapists seeking to expand their skills, while others are open to anyone interested in exploring embodied ways of being in the world. Whether you’re curious about deepening your personal awareness or enhancing your professional practice, these offerings provide a space for grounded exploration and meaningful connection.

Classes for everyone: the geographies of emotions

The Geographies of Emotions is an invitation to explore the landscapes of your inner world with curiosity and care. Each workshop in the series focuses on a single emotion, approaching it as a terrain to map, traverse, and come to know through the body. Using somatic practices and nature-based explorations, we will observe how emotions take shape within us, uncover their patterns, and engage with their movement and meaning. This series offers a space to deepen your relationship with your feelings, learning to meet them in grounded and embodied ways – Coming 2025
