Moving with the seasons

A body-led, nature-inspired class to (re)connect with the other-than-human world through the body

This eco-somatic, open-to-all practice explores the dynamic relationship between body, mind, and the natural world. It invites you to connect more deeply with yourself and your surroundings. The classes are designed specifically for anyone interested in (re)connecting to their body while exploring embodied ways of being in the world. It is a slow movement practice which supports you to (learn how to) feel into your body.

What to expect in a class with me

I approach each training and class with the following truths:

  1. Your body knows best, so let it guide you: I offer frameworks as boundaries and questions to spark your curiosity. Your body can move knowing where the limits are, with the excitement and energy that shifts are possible.
  2. A scrutinised body won’t learn: I am fascinated by the endless possibilities our bodies communicate about what hasn’t been possible yet. You are not asked to produce or rush; there’s no outcome other than listening to you, deeply.
  3. We need a community to witness our learning: In a world that pushes for insularity, even in the way we learn (think of at-home courses and webinars with hundreds of people), we do need each other to grow, exchange, and be supported. My classes are taught in smaller groups to foster the intimacy and camaraderie of a community, where you can take a step back and an opportunity to step in and up, too.

Growth and growing happen in relationship, and our first relationship is always with the earth.

In this gentle, beginner-friendly somatic practice, you will be guided to slow down, listen to your body and explore a practice rooted in the rhythms of nature. Each 60-minute class includes guided movement that can be explored seated or standing, and an opportunity to share your experience of the practice at the end of the class.

Why attend this online somatic class?

To create a relationship with your body, starting from where it feels good

To learn how to move your body without pressure or goals

To learn more about yourself through the body
